Sr Wireless Engineer

Responsible for the overall engineering, architecture and operations of a large, controller based, enterprise wireless network. Technical lead supporting a large heterogeneous wireless system. Perform RF design and engineering work for challenging, high density environments.
50% - Essential - ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE:
Responsible for the overall engineering, architecture and operations of a large, controller based, enterprise wireless network. Provide vision and architecture for the wireless network and supporting infrastructure aligned with the growth of the university. Act as technical lead for other staff supporting wireless
20% - Essential - Analyzes network efficiency by conducting network tests and running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds.
20% - Essential - Troubleshoot system issues and interface with vendor support when needed. Provides on-call support.
5% - Essential - Coordinate with various departments and campus groups on the use and expansion of the wireless network.
5% - Essential - Attend training and professional development related to job duties.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of related experience; Knowledge of advanced network computer systems hardware and software; 6 years of experience with network computer systems.
