STUDENT AFFAIRS SPECIALIST III
Job Summary The mission of the Center for Student Activities & Involvement (CSAI), a unit of the Tate Student Center, is to empower students to contribute to the UGA community and a global society. It is the goal of the CSAI is that students learn how to democratically engage across difference by being involved in student organizations, advocating for student interests, learning experientially, and carrying forward the traditions of UGA in a modern way. CSAI directly coordinates and advises 19 unique programs and student organizations. The CSAI staff includes seven full-time staff members, two part-time staff members, seven graduate student staff, and six student staff members. The Senior Coordinator for Student Involvement reports to the Assistant Director of Tate Student Center for Student Activities & Involvement. The Center for Student Activities & Involvement Senior Coordinator for University Traditions (1) coordinates UGA Homecoming, (2) advises Student Homecoming Committee, (3) advises Pandora Yearbook, (4) advises WUOG 90.5 FM student radio station, (5) coordinates collaborative programs with Athletics, (6) coordinates special events, and (7) supervises two graduate assistants. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative and program experience; OR Masters Degree and two years of administrative/program experience; OR seven years of progressively responsible administrative/program experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
