Degree and Area of Specialization: Bachelor's degree required. Master's or advanced/professional degree preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: Required: Experience working in higher education or other complex organization.
Required: Demonstrated experience managing programs and budgets and supervising a team of professionals. Leadership skills which demonstrate the ability to participate in innovation and change, strategic thinking, and problem solving.
Preferred: Five or more years of combined professional experience in at least two of the following areas--Experience in strategic planning, facilitation, consulting, and organizational improvement.
Preferred: Experience in leading or managing an organization that provides strategic leadership and support in the areas of: academic leadership, educational innovation, strategic planning, project management and process improvement.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Provost (Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs), this position advances the mission of the university by providing strategic leadership and support in the areas of: academic leadership, educational innovation, strategic planning, project management and process improvement. The Office of Quality Improvement (OQI) supports various strategic initiatives in the Provost's Office as well as providing support to campus leaders in shaping and advancing priorities in their units.
