Assistant Professor, English
Prepare for and teach 15 credit hours per semester in the English and Journalism Division, ranging from Composition I to Literature courses to Developmental courses. Hold and maintain required office hours. Perform other duties expected of full-time faculty, including developing and revising curriculum, developing and implementing assessment of student learning outcomes, developing and maintaining relationships with academic partners, participating in college and division meetings, serving on committees, and other duties as assigned.
- Masters' degree with at least 18 hours in English Literature or Composition/Rhetoric
- Experience teaching English at the College level
- Familiarity with online teaching techniques and technology
- Master's degree and/or Ph.D. in English Literature or Composition/Rhetoric or M.F.A. in Creative Writing
- Community College teaching experience
- Secondary specialties in multicultural literature

- Demonstrated strong teaching ability
- Knowledge of and commitment to the teaching mission of a comprehensive community college
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty and people from the community
