The George Washington University (GW) School of Nursing invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position with a strong focus on geriatric research to join our Center for Aging, Health and Humanities. The Center offers tremendous opportunities for collaboration with a network or inter-professional scholars and the ability to positively impact the field of aging.

Contribute to research through extramural funding, high quality publications, and impact as reflected in citations, awards, and national recognition; teach courses in the graduate programs; mentor students in research.

At time of application, application should have: (1) A PhD in nursing, public health, public policy or a related field; (2) a nursing degree (any level); (3) an established/developing body of scholarship as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and/or funded grants in the area; (4) ability to obtain an unencumbered nursing license in the District of Columbia and Virginia; (5) a demonstrated ability to advance the university’s and school’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through research, teaching, and outreach with relevant program, goals, and activities and (6) a background in nurse practitioner education, adult and gerontology nurse practitioner practice, primary care nurse practitioner education and practice, or gerontology advanced practice nursing.
