This position serves as the assistant to the Director of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action, providing technical and confidential administrative support of EO/AA functions and programs on the Eastern Washington University campus. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a safe and confidential space for our campus constituents. In addition, this office will collaborate on campus in outreach, education and the promotion of diversity and equity. We are seeking a candidate with passion for work surrounding equity and inclusion.

Specific Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Associates Degree or higher. Additional related experience may substitute for higher education requirement on a year for year basis.
Two years of experience working with Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Diversity, ADA compliance, or related programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience providing excellent service.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.
Experience with EO/AA programs at a college or university.
Experience in developing and implementing diversity related initiatives.
Experience creating training curriculum and materials; to include online training.
Experience updating website content.
Experience working with complex policies and procedures.
