Job Description

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences is seeking to fill a non-tenure track teaching open rank faculty position in Biology who will also serve as Biology Program Director. The candidate should be able to deliver a first class teaching experience in undergraduate biology courses as well as selected upper level and/or graduate courses. This individual will also have overall responsibility for administering the undergraduate biology program which will include advising students, planning and staffing course sections and program assessment.

This position requires that the candidate hold a PhD in the life sciences and have previous teaching experience and preferably administrative experience. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to be an active member of the intellectual community and to engage undergraduates in research.
