Ithaca College's Department of Media Arts, Sciences and Studies is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position in the area of video production, with a specialization in motion graphics and 3D animation to begin August 16, 2017. This position offers the opportunity to teach and produce scholarly and/or professional work in one of the strongest undergraduate communication programs in the country. The ideal candidate will be equipped to create an environment centered on active student learning, will have a demonstrated record of professional accomplishment, and will bring additional visibility to the department. Active engagement in externally reviewed creative, professional, or scholarly work and service as academic advisor and on department, school, and college committees is also expected.

Teaching responsibilities will include a mix of classes in video production/animation and graphics primarily for the B.S. degree in Television-Radio but may also include courses for students in other degrees within the Park School including Cinema & Photography; Film, Photography & Visual Arts and Emerging Media.
Position/Job Qualifications
An M.F.A. in the area of media production or a Master's degree plus significant professional experience in video production/animation and graphics is required. Experience with a variety of current professional and industry standard graphic and animation software is required. We prefer candidates who have a record of successful college teaching and who share our commitment to professional preparation within the context of an interdisciplinary and immersive liberal arts education.
