Assistant or Associate Professor - Criminal Justice
FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Performs teaching, research and student academic advisement/guidance duties in area of expertise. Shares responsibility for college and department assignments including curriculum, Course assessment and other campus-wide initiatives. Teaches undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice at all levels, specifically Introduction to Criminal Justice, Policing, Criminology and Corrections.
City University of New York and BCC expect faculty to have a real passion for teaching and engage in scholarship and research in their fields. Evening/weekend schedule may be required.
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology or close area. Main area of teaching will be courses in criminal justice. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have previous college teaching experience, have a strong scientific publications record and have the ability to engage in other department and campus-wide service functions in addition to teaching. Experience with teaching and learning technologies preferred.
Additional qualifications for Associate Professor: candidate must have a record of significant achievement in the field. Four years college teaching experience preferred. Further, experience with teaching and learning technologies preferred.

Assistant Professor: $47,340 - $81,855
Associate Professor: $61,394- $97,628
*Salary subject to new contract implementation. Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
