Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Senior Information Security Analyst is responsible for managing information security-related projects, assessing and mitigating IT risks and vulnerabilities, maintaining information security policies and procedures; designing and delivering IT security training and awareness activities; and monitoring compliance with applicable laws and University administrative regulations.

Working with infrastructure, operations and applications service owners, document and implement secure configuration policies, procedures, guidelines and standards; work with internal business users and IT staff to enforce University information security policy and procedures by providing assistance in applying security standards to projects; and collaborate with IT outsourcing operations and systems teams to ensure security safeguards are kept up-to-date and compliance is maintained.

Physical Requirements

The essential job functions of this position require you to be indoors; sit for extended periods of time; handle light-weight objects up to 25 pounds; operate a phone and a computer (with regular repetitive motions, such as typing) and navigate multiple computer systems


Primarily days (i.e. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm) Please be aware that as an exempt position, job duties may occasionally require additional time in the evenings, nights and/or weekends to accomplish work goals in excess of 40 hours per week.


MS Office, Nessus or Nmap.

Preferred Education/Experience

Advanced Degree, 10+ years in IT and at least 4 years in information security preferred.
CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or equivalents preferred.

Driver's license preferred.
