Job Description:

UCF RESTORES is recruiting a postdoctoral associate to join the clinical research activities of the center to begin July/August, 2017. UCF RESTORES is a clinical research center dedicated to the study of anxiety, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) including etiology, psychopathology, treatment, resilience and prevention. A unique feature of UCF RESTORES is the development and use of established and emerging technologies (virtual reality, iPads, smart phones) to enhance prevention and intervention efforts.

The postdoctoral associate will be engaged in all facets of the center, providing assessment and intervention services, including the use of virtual reality and other technologies designed to augment and disseminate empirically-supported treatments. The center is supported by funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Department of Defense, as well as private foundations. Other activities will include participation in development of new initiatives of the center, including grant applications to further support the work of the center. There will be significant opportunities for both clinical work to fulfill licensure requirements as well as opportunities to develop independent lines of research, which contribute to the center’s overall activities.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in clinical psychology and a pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship, both from programs accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Preferences: Experience providing exposure therapy and other behavioral treatments to individuals with anxiety disorders is strongly preferred.
