The California Northstate University College of Health Sciences (CNUCHS) is continually seeking excellent teaching faculty for part-time instruction. Listed below are subject areas for which there is a continuous need for part-time instructors, with ‘*’ indicating immediate need.
Job Classification: Part-time, non-exempt.
Review of Applications: Applications are received in an ongoing basis. Fall semester applicant review will begin April 1st and Spring semester applicant review will begin November 1st.
Anticipated Start Date: Fall semester start date will be August 1st; Spring semester start date will be January 1st.
Reporting Responsibility: Reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Education and Experience: A master’s degree in the discipline is the minimum requirement, although a doctorate is preferred (and ABD’s may be considered). At least one year of teaching experience in the subject area is required. Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and relevant experience. Official transcripts and copy of diploma are required when hired.
Job Description: Part-time faculty members are expected to maintain the highest standard of classroom teaching excellence, adhere to college policy, and hold regular office hours for student assistance. Part time faculty members may also be asked to attend regular meetings with course lead faculty to maintain alignment with institutional and course learning outcomes.
