The Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University seeks to appoint a full time Lecturer beginning September 1, 2017. The position is for one year, renewable. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and to advise senior theses.
We are looking for someone who will demonstrate excellence in the classroom. While the main thrust of the ORFE classes are in probability, statistics, optimization and financial engineering, the current teaching needs are mostly in statistics and financial engineering, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach in these areas first. Although not required, a track record of peer-reviewed publications in any of the fields covered by ORFE is considered a plus.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae (including publications), statement of teaching experience/philosophy and, any additional material relevant to the applicant's teaching abilities (such as prior teaching evaluations, student comments, etc.), and contact information for at least three references.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in a field covered by ORFE, and classroom teaching experience with demonstrated excellence.
