Job Description
This position coordinates for Project Lead The Way activities in the College of Engineering and Computing. This position coordinates Project Lead the Way Launch Implementation, Outreach to elementary schools, and Project Lead the Way Core Training, as well as, provides administrative support, and performs other administrative duties as assigned. Duties are: 1) Formulate goals and implement initiatives for the implementation of PLTW Launch programs for the state of South Carolina. Work with University and SC Dept. of Edu. Plan and implement programs based on consideration of resources and an assessment of the internal and external environments and stakeholders. Plan and implement ongoing training for PLTW Launch which includes reserving space at the training site, registration of teachers, stipend plus travel to Master Teachers, arranging meals, and discussing new opportunities with the PLTW teachers. Assist in the planning of the annual Launch Conference held at USC. 25%; 2) Visit elementary schools to discuss implementation of PLTW Launch programs. Provide hands on activities at schools for career day, learning experiences, and/or STEM highlights as a representative of the College of Engineering and Computing. Help PLTW Launch Lead teachers train other teachers at the schools to implement PLTW Launch units. Serve as main point of contact for all PLTW launch schools and teachers.25%; 3) Assist in planning, scheduling and implementing of Summer and Winter PLTW Core Training courses for teachers. Assist in managing inventory, supplies and equipment to include purchasing for the PLTW teacher training courses. Assist in invoicing all PLTW teachers for Summer and Winter Core Training. Coordinates organization of special events for Core Training. Respond to questions and concerns associated with Core Training in a timely, professional, and cordial manner. 25%; 4) Provides administrative support for PLTW-related activities. Process TA's, payment request, and PO's. Assist in the planning of E Week open house and other college outreach events.20%; and 5) Coordinate all PLTW Undergraduate Credit applications. Receive, review and receipt money. Collaborate with University and the College business units to keep abreast of current business practices and procedures. (Bursar's office, Registrar's office, Admissions office, CEC Dean's Business Office, etc.) Follow up after awarding credit including maintenance of records and providing credit award acknowledgement to recipients. 5%

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree and 4 years relevant program experience, or a bachelor's degree and 6 years relevant program experience.

Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and frequent interruptions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Confident as well as conscientious and personable. Teamwork

Preferred Qualifications
Experience as an elementary school teacher. Experience with professional development with teachers. Experience with event planning. Experience with university credit processes. Experience with administrative duties to include records keeping and financial/budget transactions.
