Associate Vice President of Instruction: Reporting directly to the Provost, VP of Academic and Student Affairs, the AVP of Instruction is an active member of the Academic and Student Affairs leadership team and assists w/the administration of the academic program of the College. Directly supervises ten academic departments with approximately 120 full time faculty and liaises between faculty instructional activities and administration; Reviews and evaluates policies and practices related to academic standards, graduation, course offerings, assessment, program review, and program development, and makes recommendations consistent w/the College's mission and strategic plan. Assists in implementing the academic vision of the College. Minimum of Master's Degree and minimum of 3 years administrative experience in a position leading faculty and academic professionals including evaluation in a higher education setting required; community college experience preferred. Teaching experience required; full time community college teaching experience preferred. General familiarity w/the academic programs of the College w/knowledge of and experience in personnel management and oversight of academic processes. Demonstrated understanding of the teaching and learning process and of innovative pedagogy and student support systems. Experience w/curriculum design, assessment and program review; demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and lead change in the division; evidence of a collaborative leadership style, creativity, and innovation.
