The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, has an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Associate Professor position to work at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.

Job Responsibilities: The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Colorado Denver and Children's Hospital Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our growing Section and the DHI, currently with 21 physician faculty members, 4 midlevel providers, 5 PhD faculty members and an active fellowship program. This is a premier academic group with extensive clinical and academic training and research programs. The position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position that will spend the majority of time in clinical care and contributing to our clinical and academic programs. The successful candidate will devote 80% of time to clinical care of patients with digestive diseases at Children's Hospital Colorado and its network of care facilities. The successful candidate will be experienced in the full gamut of pediatric GI disorders and GI procedures. The candidate will participate in patient care at Children's Hospital Colorado and its network of care sites, including inpatient attending, outpatient clinics and performing the entire gamut of pediatric Gastroenterology procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopy, intestinal biopsies, foreign body removal, etc. The successful candidate will also play a role in education and teaching of Pediatric residents, Pediatric Gastroenterology fellows, students and others.



Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position has been established at $165,000 to $216,000 and actual salary is negotiable commensurate with experience. The University of Colorado offers a full benefits package. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Completed fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at RRC-approved fellowship (or equivalent), MD degree and American Board of Pediatrics Board Certified in Pediatrics, and Board Eligible or certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology. Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of all pediatric GI disorders, demonstrated skills in the full gamut of pediatric GI endoscopic and other procedures, excellent teaching and education skills, knowledge and training of pediatric gastroenterology, and understanding of the performance of research.



Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in busy clinical service for at least 3 years; previous experience teaching residents and fellows; publications in peer-reviewed journals in pediatric gastroenterology or related fields.
