Assistant/Associate/Professor (Tenure or Clinical track)
Department of Surgery Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Missouri is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track or clinical-track). Promoted ranks higher than Assistant are negotiable contingent upon qualifications. This position will have joint appointments with University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics and Harry S Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri with the expectation of having significant involvement with research in the applicable facility. A fully functional, well equipped and staffed surgical services team is in place to quickly build a robust surgical practice.
This is a faculty position designated to pursue clinical and academic opportunities in Surgical Oncology. The successful candidate should be Board Eligible or Board Certified. Advanced fellowship training in endoscopic and/or minimally invasive surgical procedures is preferred.

Surgeon candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in the appropriate area of specialty. Candidate must be able to obtain Missouri State Medical License and become credentialed in applicable MU Health Care facilities. Candidate should have demonstrated experience with extramurally funded research and a progressively advancing list of publication of research activities. Candidate should have demonstrated qualifications with a strong emphasis on teaching surgical residents and fellows and on maintaining a high quality residency training program. Additional attributes considered important to this position include having proven leadership qualities, exceptional surgical technique, and strong interests in resident/medical student education.
