Primary Function:

The Sr. Associate Provost and Director of Graduate Studies assists the Provost/VPAA in determining and implementing the university's strategic priorities, providing leadership to the academic colleges and Academic Affairs units, fostering faculty and staff achievement, and supporting engaged student learning. The administrator will be responsible for working directly with Graduate Council to support, expand and enhance graduate programs, and will assist the Provost with preparing and tracking budgets and providing support to directors and chairs of academic programs.

The Senior Associate Provost and Director of Graduate Studies will be responsible for working directly with the academic programs, program administration, institutional effectiveness, and the Collegiate Graduate Coordinators to support, expand and enhance graduate programs.

We are Georgia's designated public liberal arts university and we offer 37 undergraduate degrees and more than 25 graduate programs. More importantly, we teach every student how to learn and we strive to instill a lifelong passion for learning that serves our students well regardless of the career paths they choose. The main Georgia College campus is located in Milledgeville, a charming, traditional southern town less than a two-hour drive from Atlanta. We are one of the 28 public institutions in the University System of Georgia.

We are a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC). Georgia College enrolls approximately 6,600 undergraduate and graduate students and is prominently cited for educational excellence in a number of leading publications.

Georgia College & State University is seeking a dynamic academic leader to serve as the Sr. Associate Provost and Director of Graduate Studies.
