University of North Texas - IT Security Analyst I
The IT Shared Services Department at the University of North Texas System is seeking to hire an IT Security Analyst I.The holder of this position will be a member of an IT Shared Services security team which provides support and oversight for the security for the University of North Texas System and institutions. This position provides support for security awareness and user training, assists with security and disaster recovery incident response, provides system administration services, provides support for centrally supported security tools, and assists with risk assessment and audits. The holder of the position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to work without supervision and possess good problem solving skills. This is a security sensitive position.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Develops and conducts security training and awareness.* Manages security documentation and data. * Assists with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, analysis, and evaluation. * Provides support for Information Security systems and tools. * Provides support and consultation on security matters. * Assists with risk assessments and audits. * Assists with the incident handling process. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
