Pediatric Ophthalmologist - Academic

The Mason Eye Institute and University of Missouri School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, invite qualified applicants to apply for a full-time faculty position in pediatric ophthalmology. In 2012 clinical space was doubled with the opening of University Eye Institute East. The successful candidate will not only enjoy a brand new facility, but inherit an established, robust clinical and surgical practice. Competitive salary, rank and track will be commensurate with credentials and experience.

The Mason Eye Institute is part of University Hospital and Clinics and is affiliated with the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Administration Hospital, located across the street from University Hospital. Our active research program encompasses both the basic and clinical sciences. Five fulltime faculty PhD researchers are involved in diverse areas of research. As one of few institutions in the country with colleges of medicine, veterinary medicine, agriculture, engineering, nursing, and health professions on one campus there is ample opportunity for innovative collaboration.

In addition to excellent clinical and surgical skills, education of residents and medical students is integral to this position. We have a fully accredited residency program accepting three residents per year.

Qualifications

Candidate must be BC/BE in Ophthalmology with fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology. Candidate must be eligible for unrestricted licensure in Missouri.
