General Summary
The School of Music at Illinois State University is seeking a nine-month, non-tenure track faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in theory and musicianship, plus undergraduate and graduate courses in applied composition and analysis. Additional courses may include orchestration, counterpoint, or others according to interest and specialization.

Required Qualifications
-Master's Degree in Music required. Doctorate preferred or professional equivalence.
-Successful teaching experience at the collegiate level is highly desirable.
-State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
-If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
