ADJUNCT FACULTY-CORE CURRICULUM
Becker College with campuses in Worcester and Leicester, MA, is currently looking to establish a pool of adjunct faculty to teach in its CORE curriculum. The CORE is made up of five courses (3 credits each) that are scaffolded to focus on The Agile Mindset and Becker’s Core Values to build competency from Introductory to Mastery level for this component of Becker’s Gen Ed reform sequence. The Agile Mindset and Becker’s Core Curriculum focuses on an academic foundation that equips students to navigate change and create value in the complex, hyper-connected-automated world of the 21st century. It values knowledge and the power of learning while focusing on a set of four uniquely human skills: divergent thinking, empathy, social & emotional intelligence, and an entrepreneurial outlook, which prepares students to adapt and create new value.
CORE 1001 and/or CORE 1500 – Managing Transitions: Change as Norm
CORE-ENGL – The New Normal: Exploring Unstructured Problems – Writing Intensive
CORE 2003 – Needfinding: Uncovering Opportunity in Human Need
CORE 3004 – Entrepreneurial Mindset: Creating and Capturing Value
CORE 4005 (Capstone) – Integration Capstone – Industry Engaged or Community Service
These courses are multi-disciplinary in approach. Interested candidates, who have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, are encouraged to apply. For those contracted, paid training sessions for individual courses will take place in May.
