Duties: Research Project Manager A requires research and administrative skills to assist with multiple grant-funded projects in the department of Health Policy. Reporting to multiple principal investigators (PIs), this person will be responsible for assisting with multiple research studies including the planning and execution of day-to-day research activities, as well as IRB and regulatory requirements and supervision of research staff. The project manager will be responsible for tracking multiple study budgets. The project manager will meet regularly with study leadership to provide study updates and for technical advice.

Research Project Manager B will have strong research and administrative skills to provide management for multiple grant-funded projects in the department of Health Policy. Reporting to multiple principal investigators (PIs), this person will be responsible for oversight of all grant activities for these research studies including the planning and management of day-to-day research activities, including IRB and regulatory requirements and the hiring, training and supervision of research staff. The project manager will be responsible for managing and tracking multiple study budgets and manage the timely submission of grant reporting to the sponsors. The project manager will meet regularly with study leadership to provide study updates but will function independently in carrying out most responsibilities. The role will include regular contact with outside entities of importance to manage the execution of agreements and subcontracts and will assist with presenting at national meetings.

Qualifications: Research Project Manager A: BA/BS and 3 to 5 years of related experience (research-related preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree or coursework towards a Master's degree is a plus. Strong organizational skills; comfort with innovative new technologies and study devices preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Familiarity with regulatory compliance issues required. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Research Project Manager B: A Master's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in a research or health-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The successful candidate will be extremely well organized and resourceful. A comfort with innovative new technologies and study devices preferred. The project manager must thrive in multi-tasking environments, and be a self-starter with a results orientation. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Understanding of regulatory compliance issues required. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. High accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital to success in the position. The project manager should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
