Essential Job Duties: The Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to work under the direction of Dr. Alyson Wilson. The candidate should have interests in Bayesian methods, information fusion, reliability and/or applications in defense, intelligence, nonproliferation, and security. The position will be supported by the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences (https://ncsu-las.org) and/or the Consortium for Nonproliferation Enabling Capabilities (https://www.cnec.ncsu.edu/). This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic junior researcher who is interested in working on interdisciplinary projects with an engineering focus.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Department Required Skills: A PhD in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, or related field is required. Demonstrated expertise in practical statistical applications, Bayesian methods, and Bayesian computation. Expertise in at least one statistical programming language. Excellent writing and communication skills. U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency is required per grant.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Demonstrated interest in science and engineering applications, policy, or defense and security.
