About The Unit: The staff and consultants at the Chicago Center for Teaching ( support teaching at the University of Chicago through training, resources, expertise, and current research in the acquisition and deployment of pedagogical skills. Services are open to faculty, postdocs, and graduate students who teach undergraduate and graduate students. Staff members from the Center also collaborate with schools, divisions, and departments to advise them on their teaching support practices, and offer supplemental services to increase or assess the effectiveness of programs.

Unit Job Summary: The CCT Program Coordinator works closely with the Directors of the Chicago Center for Teaching (CCT) to: organize and support the work of the center; evaluate program formats and execute their production; manage the CCT workflow and client lists, including data management and reporting; and supervise all student and part-time workers hired by the CCT. 30% Program Administration: Oversee arrangements of all CCT programs that are necessary to realize seminars, conferences, and workshops and serve participants. This includes all logistical arrangements, communication with department heads, and all relevant university offices and constituents of programs. 30% Program Design, Communications, and Assessment: Collaborate with CCT Directors and other program directors across University offices to assess the value of ongoing and new programs and collaborate with them in revising programs and designing new ones. Oversee the offices communication strategies, including the development of unique marketing products, and the ongoing development, updating, and maintenance of the CCT website and other online communication sources. 25% Data and Financial Management: Maintain CCT participation data for all programs; conduct analysis and prepare reports, and work with all staff to ensure accurate data collection. Review program invoices and process payments to University departments, vendors, and individuals involved in departmental programs. 15% Supervision: Supervise part time graduate student workers including the Teaching Consultation Coordinator, and Teaching Consultants. Work with the Directors to develop appropriate policies and practices for training and development of everyone working for the Center.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

Unit Experience: Minimum of one year relevant experience required.
