About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Work as part of a multi-unit team to recruit prospective graduate students to the University of Chicago. Oversee front office operations, including the campus visit/tour program, student workers, recruitment and outreach activities, and on- and off-campus programs. Participate actively in recruitment, including travel to represent the University at fairs and events nationally. Communicate extensively with internal and external clients, including managing the central communication channels for prospective students. Perform administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining listhosts, and coordinating travel. Coordinate other activities with divisional support services and external vendors, including vendors for printing, mailings, document processing, and score reporting. Manage prospect collection including purchase of lists and contact with other referral sources. Conduct extensive reporting, including data cleanup, analysis, and visualization, drawing from multiple databases requiring a high level of expertise in Excel or similar tools. Duties and responsibilities: - Hire, train, and supervise the work of graduate student employees - Generate tables and graphs for reports and presentations from data in multiple databases - Prepare project memos, summaries, and presentations as needed - Keep abreast of graduate programs and admissions requirements to respond effectively to inquiries - Counsel prospective students and others regarding the various graduate program admissions processes - Plan and implement public presentations, special events, and other recruitment activities - Develop marketing materials, generate content for and create outreach materials including email newsletters - Other duties as assigned

Unit Education: Advanced degree required (master's, etc).

Unit Experience: Familiarity with a research-intensive university setting through education or professional work experience required Minimum of one year of experience in higher education required Experience managing datasets required Customer service experience preferred
