The College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and the department of Computer Science at Eastern Washington University invite applications for one full-time Lecturer position to teach Computer Literacy topics starting September 2017, including but not limited to:

  1. Microsoft Word
  2. Powerpoint
  3. Excel spreadsheets and tables
  4. Internet Searching
  5. Basic computing concepts
  6. Administer challenge exams
  7. May teach introductory computer science course

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Education, or other relevant field)
  • Teaching experience
  • Excellence in teaching demonstrated through evaluations or references
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Interest, experience and/or ability to promote cultural competency and/or diversity

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Minor in Computer Science or programming
  • Experience teaching computer literacy topics
  • Ability and willingness to expand knowledge of computing to teach introductory computer science
