General Description

DCC is looking for a dynamic, hardworking individual to enhance our prospective student recruitment activities among diverse and immigrant communities. The successful candidate will meet with prospective students, parents, counselors, school staff, and community members to discuss degree programs, financial aid, scholarships, career and transfer opportunities, and the many benefits of a DCC education. Strong presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to read, write, and speak in English and Spanish are required.

• Deliver presentations to prospective students and parents regarding DCC on campus, as well as at college/career fairs and community events (churches, libraries, community organizations).
• Provide information about degree programs, admissions, financial aid, and scholarships.
• Lead on-site admissions sessions at high schools.
• Conduct appointments with prospective students and their parents.
• Serve as a liaison between Community-based ESL programs and DCC.
• Assist with the translation of College publications and college onboarding documents into Spanish.
• Recruit and assist undocumented students with enrollment process
• Recruit and assist F-1 visa students with enrollment process
• Serve as Admissions liaison between Family Partnership Center and Admissions Office
• Travel to NYC for recruitment events and serve as liaison between SUNY Metropolitan Recruitment Center and DCC Admissions Office.
• Communicate with prospective students via email, texting, and social media.
• Call prospective students to assist with onboarding process.
• Assist with implementation and delivery of Admissions Office social media strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field
1-2 years prior Admissions experience in a higher education setting
Ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Proven experience working with diverse groups and a demonstrated ability to establish relationships with a variety of constituencies including immigrant populations
Excellent customer service skills
Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid Driver's License
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience in student recruitment, education marketing, sales, or public relations
Experience in planning events
