Washington & Jefferson College seeks an articulate, responsible, and highly energetic person for the Assistant Director of Admission position.  The primary role of this position is student recruiting. Duties include management of a recruitment territory, correspondence with applicants and high school counselors, coordinating and participating in on and off-campus recruiting events, interviewing students, and reviewing applications. The person in this position will be expected to interact with prospects and applicants via social media and so should have a solid knowledge and understanding of social media as well as a willingness to implement best practices.  This position has a projected start date of May 1st, 2017.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, an ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education, a strong interest in people, basic computer skills, and a propensity for detail. Web Design Experience Preferred.  Travel is mandatory and a valid driver’s license is required. At the Assistant Director level, previous admission experience would be helpful, but not required.
