Director - Graduate Programs
With more than two hundred faculty members in thirteen departments, the George and Mildred Weissman School of Arts and Sciences has the largest teaching staff of the three schools that make up Baruch College. It offers general education and upper-level classes to undergraduates from across the college, including over 4000 majors, and graduate education to a select group of students who have met its rigorous admissions standards. The school has a tradition of offering personal and individual attention to students at both the undergraduate and the graduate level.
Reporting to the Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, the Director provides leadership and manages the Weissman School's Graduate Programs, which include the MA in Corporate Communication, the MS in Financial Engineering, the MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, the MA in Mental Health Counseling and the MA in Arts Administration. The Director is also the Chief Enrollment Officer for the School and oversees graduate student affairs from admissions through alumni relations. This person is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for all graduate programs in the School. He or she manages recruitment activities and supervises the successful execution of all stages of the graduate application process. The Weissman School is in the process of expanding its graduate offerings through the addition of new master's programs as well as international programs, and the successful candidate will be innovative and help to develop and implement such programs. The Director oversees and manages the Office of Graduate Studies, which includes Admissions and Student Career Services. This person is a key participant in school-wide strategic planning and is responsible for ensuring that the development and operations of graduate programs are consistent with strategic priorities. The Director interacts with the faculty program directors and faculty leadership on various initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required. An advanced degree and eight (8) years of significant and progressive administrative experience in higher education are strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated leadership skills to manage a multi-faceted unit. Must have a demonstrated ability to develop plans and initiate change within a complex higher education environment. Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, as well as the ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, students, administrators, staff, employers, alumni, and benefactors. The successful candidate will also have proficiency in managing student information systems.

Directs a College Enrollment Management function.
- Designs, implements and executes an enrollment management plan through research and analysis of enrollment issues, trends, and models; provides leadership in advancing the College's enrollment goals
- Develops strategic plans, establishes methods to implement initiatives, measures outcomes and monitors progress to achieve enrollment targets
- Partners with appropriate College units to apply coordinated enrollment and retention plans which provide services to students and applicants in an efficient and effective manner
- Administers data analyses and reports development related to critical enrollment issues; presents results to facilitate executive decision making
- Oversees department budget and advises on allocation of College funds regarding enrollment efforts across other units
- Manages professional and clerical staff
- Performs related duties as assigned.
