JOB SUMMARY:


The Kronos Administrator role is accountable for proactive analysis, configuration, testing, implementation, training and end user support of the Kronos system for Clemson University. The position serves as the Kronos Subject Matter Expert, provides guidance to internal clients, and recommends and leads process improvement projects, as well as timekeeping best practices. This role serves to ensure Kronos is compliant with university policies and labor laws.


JOB DUTIES:


Workforce Central Application Administrator: Utilizes skill and knowledge to support the system so that it remains in alignment with the university's business needs and goals. Supports the Kronos system with widgets and navigators. Creates and manages widgets, alerts, notifications, workspaces, wizards and navigators to meet the needs of job roles in the organization and for best business practices. Modifies, configures, tests and deploys navigators. Supports the system with data analysis tools such as HyperFind queries and genies. Configures and manages university pay rules and interface configurations. Understands the structure and function of pay rules and the process to configure, maintain and troubleshoot common pay rule changes. 30% - Essential

Workforce Timekeeper: Navigates through Workforce Timekeeper, manages personal and job information for new employees, works with schedules, basic timecard management, process historical edits. Prepares Kronos each pay period to pass data to PeopleSoft, running reports and correcting errors. Passes payable time each pay period. Performs transactions with-in the timecard such as labor or job transfers, views totals, views schedules, and views and approves timecards. Reviews time-off trends and identify possible attendance policy violations. Has general knowledge of HR and Payroll laws, as well as familiarity with policies and procedures related to types of pay, such as vacation time, overtime, holiday pay, compensatory accruals, on call time, etc. 30% - Essential

General Kronos Support: Provides customer support and basic technical direction for problem resolution via phone calls, in person, over e-mail and through a ticketing system. Troubleshoots and tracks issues and system changes. Creates and schedules reports from with-in the Kronos application and assist users with the same. Responsible for overall vendor management of Kronos. Works with Kronos Global Support, the Kronos Cloud team and internal IT support as needed. 25% - Essential

Access Integrity: Maintains system user access privileges and roles. Maintains logs and requests for elevated access. Performs quarterly and annual review of individuals with special roles and elevated access. Analyzes data and function access requirements to control access to the system through use of profiles, such as display, data access and function access profiles. 10% - Essential

Workforce Device Management: Configures, maintains and troubleshoots Workforce Device Manager and Kronos InTouch devices to create a successful environment for communication between devices and the Kronos database. Performs transactions at a terminal such as labor or job transfers, views totals, views schedules, and views and approves timecards. Responsible for inventory and upkeep of InTouch terminals, including a testing clock and back-up clock. Clock inventory is located at multiple locations both on-campus and off-campus. 5% - Essential


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


A bachelor's degree and experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
