Lecturer - Part-time (BME 170)

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a part-time Lecturer for the Spring 2017 to co-teach BME 170: Biomedical Engineering Laboratory. This is an upper division laboratory course that is required for all BME majors. The course covers the basic principles of electroencephalography (EEG), with a laboratory component consisting of a hypothesis-driven human EEG experiment. Experimentally acquired data are analyzed offline using modern statistical signal processing techniques. Findings are described in a journal-article-style report.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or related fields. Familiarity with human electroneurophysiological signals such as EEG, real-time data acquisition, and statistical signal processing is highly desirable. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
Salary is approximately $2,900.00 for quarter (three months - April through June).
