MOVE & PROJECTS COORDINATOR
Duties: The Move and Projects Coordinator is an 18-month term position that will oversee three major functions for The School of Arts & Sciences Facilities Planning & Operations group: Move planning & Coordination, Project coordination for non-capital projects, and non-project furniture coordination. The move coordination function involves the planning and execution of moves related to large capital as well as non-capital projects including but not limited to labs, offices, & teaching spaces. The incumbent will follow the established SAS move processes and guidelines and work collaboratively with building administration staff, as well as SAS FPO Directors to coordinate and execute moves. These moves will be both multi-phase moves related to upcoming Capital Projects like the Perelman Center for Political Science and Economics, as well as smaller moves around The School.
The project coordination function manages and implements a number of interior renovation, finish, and fit-out projects for The School. This requires the incumbent to follow established processes in SAS FPO to work with FRES Small Projects Group. The position will support the Space & Projects coordinator as they meet with end users, identify and develop program requirements, and develop biddable documents for SPG as necessary.
The furniture coordination function will include (in collaboration with other SAS FPO design staff) management of the non-project furniture request system, which takes requests for furniture repair or replacement from members of the school. The furniture coordinator will then work with the requestor to identify the requirements and funding for the project, and specifies, orders, and coordinates installation of furniture from a variety of vendors used by The School.
Qualifications: A High School diploma with at least 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A four-year degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Facilities Management is strongly preferred. Candidate should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidate must be proficient in Auto CAD, Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project, and the Adobe creative suite.
