The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the University of Virginia, seeks multiple Research Associate candidates to work in the laboratory of Dr. Mark Okusa. The Okusa lab focuses on Acute Kidney Injury.
Candidates must have a PhD or MD, and a proven ability to lead a project and supervise and train laboratory personnel in a collaborative setting. Duties also include the formulation and testing of hypotheses; critical analysis of data; preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals; making presentations at local, regional and national levels. Therefore, excellent communication and writing skills are required. The candidate should have hands-on and published experience with animal models of tissue injury and inflammation.
This position is restricted and is contingent upon funding.
