Duties and Responsibilities: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy invites applications for two, full time, three-year renewable, lecturer appointments in the Department of Philosophy. The Department of Philosophy has extensive teaching duties in Loyola's Core Curriculum, programs for Majors and Minors, as well as MA and PhD programs. For more information about the department, please visit: http://www.luc.edu/philosophy/about.shtml The successful candidates will be expected to teach in the Core Curriculum, and also teach in their areas of specialty in undergraduate upper division classes as well as in the graduate program. The department has a particular interest in candidates who have extensive experience teaching in a Core Curriculum setting and who have expertise in the area of ethics and economic development. The position will carry a 4-4 teaching load.

Minimum Qualifications: The candidates will have earned a PhD in Philosophy prior to appointment. Candidates for the position must clearly demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and have a record of (or clear potential for) student mentorship. The candidates should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
