Vice President for Strategic Initiatives
Located in Chapel Hill, NC UNC General Administration (UNC System Office) invites applications for the position of Vice President for Strategic Initiatives.
The position incumbent will serve as the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives in the Division of Strategy and Policy. The VP for Strategic Initiatives will play a lead role in the design and implementation of system-level initiatives, including the implementation of the University’s new Strategic Plan and the associated system-level strategies and policies that promote that plan.

Educational requirements for this position are graduate training in public policy, social science, or related discipline (Master’s degree required). Ph.D. preferred.
Requires seven (7) years of experience working in higher education.
The Vice President for Strategic Initiatives must possess strong leadership abilities, project management skills, and deep familiarity with the work of universities; demonstrated ability to lead large-scale projects involving many constituencies; demonstrated ability to communicate with different audiences about higher education strategy and policy; an understanding of higher education data and measurement; and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
