We seek an enthusiastic tenure-track science instructor in biology who will have the primary role for facilitating learning in variety of natural science courses. Depending upon qualifications and experience, teaching assignments might include: biology, microbiology, human biology, public health, contemporary science, earth science, or chemistry.
This position begins in August 2017 with instruction primarily at Jackson College’s Adrian, Michigan Campus, 1376 North Main Street, Adrian, Michigan. Assignments at other Jackson College locations, including prison facilities as well as online and hybrid courses may also be assigned to complete the fulltime schedule. The applicant’s knowledge of current research and practices in education should be apparent in innovative and successful teaching strategies. The applicant’s skillful approach to teaching and leading students must include a desire to engage both the campus and the surrounding community.

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in biology or closely related field is required. Teaching load may be assigned across three semesters, including possible summer assignments.
