The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Cancer Pharmacology/Cancer Biology.
The applicant should have an active research program in cancer biology/pharmacology. The ideal candidate will develop a vibrant and productive independent research program in any area of cancer biology/cancer pharmacology that has potential translational impact on cancer. We are interested in candidates using, approaches that include, but are not limited to, cancer cell and molecular biology, structural biology, general -omics technologies, computational modeling and animal modeling. Research that is complementary with current interests within the Department of Pharmacology (http://pharmacology.ucdenver.edu/index.shtm) is a strength.
Applicants should also be enthusiastic about teaching cancer biology and pharmacology to graduate and medical students and participating in graduate student and postdoctoral research training.
Required education: Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree and appropriate and sufficient post-doctoral experience to establish an independent research program and be competitive for obtaining extramural grant support.
