Account Manager, Print and Digital Communications
The Office of Strategic Relations is accepting applications for an Account Manager to provide high-quality creative services resulting in excellent print and digital communications. These services (writing, editing, proofreading, design, photography, account management, purchasing, and vendor management) assist the university in achieving its strategic goals. The position is responsible for managing projects from concept through the creative process, including print production management, print buying, client proposals, RFQs, state bids, vendor management, billing and invoicing.
Account management (75%): The account manager develops client relationships, grows existing accounts by adding strategic value, supervises account activities, and ensures on-time, on-budget and high-quality work. This person works closely with clients to understand their marketing challenge(s), and the solution(s); and collaborates with team members to define account strategies; and translate these strategies into tactical and measurable implementations. The account manager is responsible for managing projects from concept through the creative process, including digital and print production management, print buying, client proposals, RFQs, state bids, vendor management, billing and invoicing. The person in this position: Facilitates communication among clients, team members and vendors, and consults on costs and technical issues. Follows a workflow to assure consistent outcomes. Manages competing and changing priorities on projects. Keeps accurate electronic files and billing records. Handles multiple projects at various stages of completion by maintaining Basecamp projects and status reports.
CU-branded merchandise coordination (20%): The person in this position will manage and coordinate campus ordering, buying, distribution and the maintainance off CU-branded merchandise and materials (e.g., stickers, T-shirts, polo shirts, lapel pins, etc.). All materials must comply with the legal trademark rules and regulations, and must be printed through approved vendors. Where possible, work with campus departments to group orders for enhanced volume pricing.
Teamwork (5%): The print account manager balances cross-discipline teams and individual workloads while exhibiting objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; and contributes to building a positive team spirit. The account manager puts the success of the team above his/her interests, can build morale and group commitment to goals and objectives, supports everyone's efforts to succeed, and recognizes the accomplishments of other team members.

What We Require
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university; concentration in marketing, business, communications or a related field helpful.
At least 1 year of practical experience with cross-functional marketing in a client-facing role.
Familiarity with print, website, videography, photography marketing and campaign development.
