Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS), within the School of Medicine and Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time board certified psychiatrist with expertise in all aspects of psychiatry and substance use disorder treatment. Primary faculty clinical responsibilities will be direct service provision divided between two ARTS Adult Outpatient Programs- Psychiatry and Narcotic Treatment Program. This position is responsible for provision of direct medical care to outpatient clients, medical consultations with ARTS-wide staff, service providers and patients. May have delegated training and monitoring of physicians and physician extenders, as well as leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team. This position will report directly to the ARTS Medical Director and the ARTS Adult Outpatient Director. This position will conduct psychiatric, medication evaluations and ongoing psychiatric care. Meeting participation may include multidisciplinary teams, quality improvement and division meetings.
Minimum Education Credentials/License/Degree Required:
Colorado Medical License, DEA Certificate, Board Certified in Psychiatry & Addiction Psychiatry, MD/DO Degree
Minimum Experience Required:
- Obtain Medical Staff privileges within the University Hospital.
- Proven track record delivering evidence-based psychotherapy/psychopharmacology services
