Research Associate

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery has an opening for a full-time Research Associate at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

The candidate will be expected to design and perform experiments, tabulate and record experimental data, and analyze and interpret experimental results. The candidate will be expected to present experimental findings at national meetings and write manuscripts for publication. The candidate will also be expected to provide technical guidance and expertise to facilitate the experimental output of junior researchers in the laboratories, including post-doctoral fellows and research residents.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate should have a terminal degree (PhD or MD) in molecular biology, cell biology, or a closely related field, and accomplishments in biomedical research as demonstrated by a fair number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The candidate should have experience with cell culture, and possesses extensive molecular biology and cell biology techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with signal transduction is preferred.
