Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for assisting faculty and staff in utilization of data and records information systems for the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab, in a high-volume, fast paced environment, and working in a team environment on planning, analyzing, and designing software applications. Responsibilities include analyzing business information requirements, designing application solutions, developing application components, modifying and/or enhancing existing application components, integrating disparate systems and documenting solutions. Physical eligibility and understanding of BSL-2 laboratory safety guidelines and work environment is required.

This position will have joint reporting responsibilities. Day to day supervision and management will be through the Veterinary Information Systems (VIS) unit and overall strategic planning, accreditation and security compliance issues will be managed by the Director of the WADDL.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
