Essential Job Duties: The Abolhasani lab in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University seeks a postdoctoral candidate for in-flow studies of homogeneous catalytic reactions. The postdoc will be involved in the screening and discovery of new Rh-based catalysts for hydroformylation of alkenes using a high-throughput flow chemistry platform. Highly motivated recent graduates with interests in the fields of reaction engineering, catalysis, microfluidics, and flow chemistry are encouraged to apply. Experience in homogeneous catalysis, transport phenomena, high pressure/temperature synthesis, and analytical characterization tools including HPLC, GC, MS, and FTIR is required. Expertise in LabVIEW and MATLAB would be desirable. Applicants are expected to have 3-5 publications in reputable peer reviewed journals. The successful candidates will benefit from excellent scientific and collaborative environment as well as the state of the art research facilities on Centennial Campus at North Carolina State University. This is a 2-yr appointment, subject to review after the first year.
