Duties: Reporting to the Wharton Online Senior Director, the Program Manager for Course Management will work with the Wharton Online team to implement and support initiatives at Wharton Online. Primarily, this role will be responsible for implementing and managing online and blended programs for Wharton Online learners around the world. The Program Manager for Course Management works to build, deliver, and manage high quality online courses. Tasks include: building online courses, and working with faculty members, Wharton Online staff, and external partners to support the design, development, delivery, and revision of programs according to best practices. Additional tasks include: understanding and managing elements of online platforms, and managing and curating content in online communities; monitoring discussion forums, and the care and feeding of online communities as needed; coordinating and managing aspects of logistics, communication and learner interaction related to the running of online and blended programs; assisting in video shoots.
With responsibility for all facets of online course management, the Program Manager ensures that all deliverables are completed, on time and within budget. Tasks include building online courses, maintaining a catalog of online courses/digital assets, presenting to external and internal partners, coordinating meetings with faculty and partners, overseeing course management, and managing project workflows. This position is the primary representative to Wharton Online learners, and has direct responsibility for assuring the quality of the online courses.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree preferred. Writing sample required. Highly skilled in professional communication, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience building, delivering, and managing high quality online courses. Experience managing online platforms, and creating and coordinating online communities. Organizational and project management skills. Comfort with technology and management of people and projects. Diplomatic skills to work with wide range of individuals, including faculty, senior level administrators, learners, and platform partners, while representing the Wharton School. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Ability to work nights and weekend. A valid driver's license required.

*Basic knowledge of HTML required. Willingness to learn is required.
*Interest and excitement in exploring and figuring out new tools and technologies.
*Familiarity with instructional design principles helpful.
*Ability to work with a diverse set of individuals in a customer-facing situation required.
*Flexibility in scheduling and working hours preferred in order to support online courses which run 24/7.
