RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: Under the general supervision of a Principal Investigator, the Research Specialist will conduct a variety of experiments where methodologies have been established or assist in the development of new techniques as needed. Duties will include the recording and analysis of data, organizing and maintaining laboratory supplies, and instrumentation as needed for experimentation. Essential job functions include applying a variety of techniques and methods to studying mRNA mediated gene editing in mice and rats. The employee will plan, execute and interpret experiments.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in biological/chemical sciences, and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in purification of DNA is required. Knowledge of the proper handling of RNA is preferred. Training and mentoring will be provided.
