The University of Miami's Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate to support the Department of Radiation Oncology research group of medical imaging. The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research and develop novel and practical algorithms in computer vision and image analysis to solve problems in radiation oncology, in particular to assist the clinician with automatic and semi-automatic tools that enable the interpretation and information extraction from medical images.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science. Candidates must have successfully defended their thesis to be eligible for consideration. Demonstrated expertise in computer vision and medical imaging. Experience in scientific programming related to medical imaging and algorithm design. Experience developing algorithms and building solutions in fields such as medical image segmentation, registration, tracking, feature extraction and classification.
