Part-time, Flex Year, 9-month position, starting August 1, 2017

This position will oversee the Rowing Club team and will report to the Coordinator of Club Sports at Campus Recreation.  This position will coach and instruct team practices on a daily basis.  The coach will attend all competition regattas or events for the rowing club and will work with the rowing club student leaders. The student leaders for Rowing will work with the Coordinator of Club Sports to complete travel paperwork, budgets and all other club functions. This position will drive the team to regattas when they travel and maintain the rowing vehicle and trailer as needed.  This position will work with the Club Sports Coordinator to purchase equipment and any rowing club needs prior to purchase based on budget allocated. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree required; experience as a player in high school and college, or previous coaching experience preferred; strong knowledge of club sport rowing rules and regulations. Certification in CPR, first aid and AED will be required prior to completion of the probationary period. Must have US Rowing Association Level 2 Coaching Certification (or willingness to obtain) or similar certification. Experience driving and loading/unloading crew boats on a rowing trailer is required. A valid Tennessee driver’s license is required.
