Job Summary PURPOSE AND SCOPE Georgia 4-H is the state's largest youth development organization. A part of the University of Georgia, the Georgia 4-H Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support the programs and services of Georgia 4-H. The Director of Development reports to the Executive Director of the Georgia 4-H Foundation. In partnership with the Georgia 4-H Foundation Board of Directors, Executive Director, and State 4-H program, this position will identify funding priorities, as well as identify and implement fundraising strategies and metrics to meeting fundraising targets. This highly responsible professional position has accountability for the direct oversight and implementation of the annual Fund Development Plan and the cultivation and growth of major gifts ($25,000+) to support the Georgia 4-H program. As Director of Development, this position requires demonstrated excellence in staff leadership and management and the ability to think strategically, set priorities, and collaborate to achieve positive outcomes in fund development and donor relations. As a member of the Georgia 4-H staff, this position should have a proven ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, donors, stakeholders, and the general public. Work is performed independently on the basis of a general assignment of the responsibilities and follows through the full continuum of fundraising metrics. The position requires some work outside normal working hours. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 5 years sales or fund raising experience required. Driver's license required.
