The Florida State University (FSU) Libraries. .
The Student Success Librarian will: 1) offer leadership in identifying trends in digital literacy and technology; 2) develop assessment tools to inform the creation of evidence-based programs and services; 3) coordinate diversity and accessibility initiatives; and 4) represent the library in collaboration with campus partners and student organizations as part of the Student Engagement Team. Based in the Learning Commons unit of the Research and Learning Services division, this position is ideal for a dynamic and forward-thinking team player interested in shaping the future of library services and student support at FSU.
Works with the Department Head of the Learning Commons, the Student Engagement Coordinator and the Research and Learning Services team to support undergraduate success.
Leads a team of full-time staff and part-time student assistants to deliver technology support to library users and manages a robust technology and media loan program.
Anticipates and facilitates new uses of technological and digital resources and incorporates them into curricular and outreach efforts to improve student success.
Monitors emerging issues and best practices in diversity and inclusion; is actively engaged in local, state, and national conversations.
Collaborate with the Technology and Digital Scholarship division and others to develop sustainable and scalable strategies to support student technological and digital needs
With campus partners, develops policy and procedures related to the Technology Center and Assistive Technology Lab.
Collect and analyze statistics for evidence-based program development in collaboration with the assessment librarian.
Flexibility to work some evening and weekend hours.
MLS from an ALA-accredited program or an equivalent combination of relevant advanced degree and experience.
Knowledge of best practices in information literacy, library instruction, reference services, and research resources, as well as technological and digital trends.
Knowledge of evidence-based decision-making strategies.
Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with faculty, students, library staff and with people of diverse backgrounds.
Flexibility in adapting to evolving departmental and organizational priorities and technological environments.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to meet the library's requirements for scholarship, service, and leadership
Demonstrated leadership and management experience
Experience delivering and developing training in an online environment
Experience in implementing services or programs related to technological and digital tools.

Anticipated Salary Range
Minimum $47,658.60, negotiable depending on qualifications

This is a full-time, 12-month non-tenured faculty appointment. Anticipated hiring at the assistant or associate librarian level. Benefits include 22 vacation days, 13 days of sick leave, group medical, dental, and life insurance, an optional retirement program or state retirement, and no state or local income tax. With supervisor*s approval, may qualify for University tuition scholarship for up to six credit hours each semester.
