Associate Director, Recruitment
The Division of the Humanities at the University of Chicago seeks an Associate Director of Recruitment for its graduate programs, MA, MFA, PhD.
Reporting to the Dean of the Humanities and in consultation with the Deputy Dean, Dean of Students and academic units, the Associate Director, Recruitment (ADR) has an overall responsibility to recruit talented and diverse graduate student applicants (PhD, MA, and MFA) who will embody the University’s commitment to build and sustain a diverse and inclusive student body. The ADR establishes and implements short- and long-range divisional outreach, recruitment, and enrollment goals, objectives, and strategic plans; develops / implements an overarching recruitment plan; considers areas of study from incoming students as well as job placements to inform recruitment strategies; builds / cultivates collaborative relationships both on and off campus, addresses barriers to enrollment; provides expertise on the marketplace as related to graduate student recruitment; and develops metrics related to goals, objectives and strategic plans such as marketing efforts, incoming student demographics, etc.; will oversee a budget.
